Short like summer!

Today i sat and bathed in August haze
Soaking up the last of summers days
Watching Butterflies & Bees as they danced
Drunk on nectar whilst they had still have the chance

Far too soon to say

Words memorised from a life that has already past
Unanswered questions i never even asked
Is that the price i must pay
To forget and live another day
It far too soon for me to say

I cannot always remember to forget
But that is not a sign of anything at all
There still room to travel further and i can hear the call
Life's story has many more miles of road
And on this journey are there more unwritten page left untold
Its far too soon for me to say

Reflections do not always show us what we want see
They are prisons to hold memories of who we used to be
There is respite for some who try, erasing for a moment those days long gone by
But who am i kidding its nothing but the  blinking of an eye

And can i say i have found my peace at last and buried all my ghosts of the past
Its far too soon for me to say.

decay the shadow in which mortality must surely rest

Is decay the shadow in which mortality must surely rest
It waits to infiltrate without a sound
Until we are turned to dust upon the ground
Is there escape or to this fate are we forever bound

It seems there is a pardon, in this sentence there is a hole
We are not just flesh and bone, for their lies within us all a soul
Through this we can transcend  cheating death for he is no friend
Unchained from the mortal coil to never age to never spoil
